Jabulani is the name of the official match ball for the 2010 World Cup. The ball, manufactured by Adidas, was revealed to the world on December 4, 2009 ( the date of the draw for the 2010 World Cup).
The ball consists of eight thermally bonded 3-D panels, and uses eleven colours ( eleven players in every team).
It has a Grip’n’Groove profile for ensuring perfect flight and a stable grip.
Germany skipper Michael Ballack remarked, “Fantastic, the ball does exactly what I want it to.”
The official ball retails at $149.99, but cheaper versions of the same are available to buy on the internet.
